ASHRAE India Chapter organized a factory visit for ASHRAE India students to Yaskawa India Pvt. Ltd. Manesar on 11th November 2025. Well attended by 30 students from various student branches.

ASHRAE India Chapter at ASHRAE YLI in Chandigarh:

ASHRAE India Chapter attended ASHRAE YEA Leadership International (YLI) 2025, held in Chandigarh from 10th to 12th October 2025.

Distinguished Lecturer Session during REFCOLD India 2025:

ASHRAE India Chapter organized a Distinguished Lecturer (DL) session by Dr. Yashkumar Shukla, ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer on the topic “Thermal Comfort and Indoor Air Quality Strategies in Affordable Houses” on 18th September 2025, during REFCOLD India 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. 30 participants attended the session.

One Day Conference on “Environment and Climate Change”:

ASHRAE India Chapter successfully organized a one-day conference on “Environment and Climate Change” on 16th September 2025, in collaboration with DSEU – Pusa Campus, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), and Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI). Over 100 participants attended the event, making it a significant platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration.

5th Edition of N.C. Gupta memorial Inter-college Football Tournament:

ASHRAE India Chapter organized 5th Edition of N.C. Gupta memorial inter-college football tournament on 13th September 2025 at Addidas the Base, Chhatarpur, New Delhi. ABES Engineering College Ghaziabad was the winner and
IIMT College of Engineering, Greater Noida and Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida were the 1st and 2nd runner-up respectively.

Plantation Drive:

ASHRAE India Chapter, in collaboration with Tricolite Electrical Industries Limited, successfully organized a plantation drive on 8th September 2025 at DSEU Pusa II Campus, where 250 saplings were planted. The event was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Environment Minister, Sh. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, as the Chief Guest. His inspiring words motivated all participants to actively contribute to the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative launched by our Hon’ble Prime Minister.

Training of Trainers (TOT) Program:

ASHRAE India Chapter successfully organized a Training of Trainers (ToT) program “Empowering Educators, Inspiring Students” from 4th to 6th September 2025, in collaboration with Honeywell. The three-day program comprised two days of online training sessions followed by a one-day physical factory visit to Honeywell.

ASHRAE India Chapter at Region XV 2nd CRC at Kathmandu, Nepal

ASHRAE India Chapter attended 2nd Chapter Regional Conference held on 29th August to 1st September 2025 at Kathmandu, Nepal.

DL Session and Installation Ceremony of NIT Kurukshetra Student Branch

ASHRAE India Chapter organized a Distinguished Lecture by ASHRAE Distinguished lecturer by CTTC RVC Mr. K. K. Mitra on 22nd August 2025 at NIT Kurukshetra Student Branch followed by the installation ceremony of the Branch.

ASHRAE Region XV’s Regional Planning Meeting

ASHRAE India Chapter hosted the ASHRAE Region XV’s Regional Planning Meeting held on 11th and 12th July 2025 at the Grand, New Delhi. Regional leaders, Presidents and Presidents Elects across the Region XV attended.

AGM and Installation Ceremony Society Year 2025-26

AIC organized its Annual General Meeting and Installation Ceremony for the Society Year 2025-26 on 11th July 2025 at the Grand, New Delhi. 85 distinguished industry professionals, experts and ASHRAE members gathered to witness the announcement of new AIC team, upcoming goals and the achievements of previous society year. The event also featured the felicitation of Society award winners and appreciation for outstanding works by the members in the previous year.

AIC Placement/Internship Drive 2025

AIC organized Placement/Internship Drive on 28th June 2025 at the Orion Plaza, Nehru Enclave, Kalkaji, New Delhi-19 for AIC Students. 46 students participated in the drive with employment opportunities from 6 companies.

AIC Sustainability Activity “Distribution of Earthan Pots” 2025

ASHRAE India Chapter organized sustainability drive of “Distribution of Earthen Pots” from 23rd to 28th June 2025. AIC President and Student members distributed the Matkas to the Community People to promote sustainable living and decarbonization.

AIC Box Cricket League Season 2

The ASHRAE India Chapter successfully organized the Second Season of AIC Box Cricket League on 5th April 2025 at Addidas the Base, Chhattarpur, New Delhi.

AIC Government Outreach Program

The ASHRAE India Chapter successfully organized its Government Outreach Program on 17th April, 2025 at The Connaught, C.P., New Delhi. The event was well attended by 32 government officials from esteemed organizations such as DMRC, NCRTC, NHB, CPWD, NDMC, AAI, RLDA, NHSRCL, EESL, MNRE, and ILBS.

Distinguished Lecturer(DL) Session by Mr. Esteban Baccini

ASHRAE India Chapter organized a DL Session on “VPF Systems” on 24th Feb 2025 at The Orion Plaza, Kalkaji, New Delhi. 40 attendees attended. It was a highly interactive event and well-appreciated by all the attendees. The event was sponsored by Grundfos.

ASHRAE India Chapter organized the 6th edition of Dr. Prem Chand. Jain Memorial Cricket Tournament on 25th January 2025 at Ramanujan College, New Delhi.

Technical Session by Prof. Chandra Sekhar, Vice President ASHRAE and Professor at the University of Singapore

ASHRAE India Chapter organized a Technical Session on “Emerging HVAC Technologies for Energy Efficient Healthy Buildings in Hot and Humid Climates” on 4th January 2025 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. 44 attendees attended. It was a highly interactive event and well-appreciated by all the attendees.

ASHRAE Region XV First Chapter Regional Conference (CRC 2024)

The first Chapter Regional Conference of ASHRAE’s newly formed Region XV was hosted by the ASHRAE India Chapter, with support from the ASHRAE Rajasthan Chapter, from September 20 to 22, 2024. The event took place at Fateh Villas, part of the Fateh Collection, in Udaipur, Rajasthan, and was attended by approximately 200 delegates, all of whom expressed high appreciation for the CRC. The CRC spread over three days, had a technical Conference “Blue is the New Green”, Training Sessions, Caucus Session, Round Table, RVC’s Reports, Chapter’s reports, Motions, Awards & Honors.

Distinguished Lecturer (DL) Session by ASHRAE Vice President, Mr. Devin Abellon

ASHRAE India Chapter organized a workshop on “Radiant Cooling system” on 19th September at Maharaja Agarsen Institute of Technology, Delhi. Approximate 35 students and 10 faculties attended. It was a highly interactive event with students and faculties keenly understanding the advancements in Radiant Cooling Systems.

Distinguished Lecturer (DL) Session by ASHRAE President Mr. Dennis Knight followed by Poster Competition

ASHRAE India Chapter organized DL session by ASHRAE President Mr. Dennis Knight followed by the student Poster Competition on 16th Sept 2024 on the occasion of Engineer’s day. Approximate 70 students participated in the competition and participation certificates distributed to all the students.

4th Edition Inter-college Football Tournament

ASHRAE India Chapter organized 4th edition of inter-college football tournament in the memory of Late Sh. N. C. Gupta. 6 teams from different student branches participated in the tournament. Team from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology won the tournament.

DL by Mr. Hoy Bohanon

ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer (DL) session with Mr. Hoy Bohanon organized by ASHRAE India Chapter supported by Delhi Chapter of ISHRAE was held on 26th Aug 2024 at The Imperial, Janpath, New Delhi. The topic of the lecture was “Better HVAC Design Using New Options in ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 62.1-2022.” The session was well-attended by 26 industry professionals and 4 students from ASHRAE Student Branches from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology and ABES Engineering College, eager to learn about these advancements and how they can be applied to create more effective and sustainable HVAC systems.

AGM & Installation Ceremony.

ASHRAE India Chapter organized its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Installation Ceremony for Society Year 2024-25 on 8th Aug 2024 at The Oberoi, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The event was a blend of reflection, celebration, and anticipation for the year ahead. More than 110 distinguished industry professionals, experts and ASHRAE members gathered to witness the formal induction of new officers and executives who will steer the chapter’s course towards forward. The event also featured the felicitation of past pPresidents and recognition of new members.

AIC sustainability program "Distribution of earthen pots

ASHRAE India Chapter organized a sustainability program on 24th May 2024. The chapter initiated a community outreach program to promote sustainable living and decarbonization by distributing earthen pots to Guards, Maids, Drivers in residential society. Also AIC members promoted the use of earthen pots by placing the pots in their offices and using them regularly.

Region XV planning meet at ACREX 2024

Glimpses of District Cooling System workshop organized by ASHRAE India Chapter held on 16th Feb at ACREX 2024. Workshops were started with the address of Ms. Ginger Scoggins, President ASHRAE, and Mr. Rajesh Jain, President ASHRAE India Chapter. Mr. Hassan Younes, Director at Griffin Consultants was the lead trainer of the workshop followed by two speakers Mr. Luke Leung, Principle Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP and Mr. Ashish Verma, General Manager/Technical Development at Tabreed India.

ASHRAE India Chapter organized their annual event “ASHRAE Night” on 3rd February 2024, at Crowne Plaza, Okhla, New Delhi. The members and their families had an enjoyable evening of entertainment with live music and a comedy show followed by Cocktails and Dinner.

Region-At-Large CRC Colombo

ASHRAE RAL CRC meeting held on 5th-8th October 2023 at Colombo-Srilanka. Ginger Scoggins – President ASHRAE, Dennis Knight- President-Elect, Ashish Rakheja- Vice-President, Richie Mittal-DRC along with many more dignitaries made the event successful.

The CRC meeting at Colombo was attended by President Rajesh Kr. Jain, Past President Kanagaraj Ganesan, Historian – Abid Husain, Membership Promotion Chair- Waliullah Siddique, Research Promotion Chair- Ashish Gupta, Student Activity Chair-Abhishek Jain, and YEA – Chair Dimpy Daroch from ASHRAE India Chapter. ASHRAE India Chapter received many awards also.
